LegacyGuard Partners, LLC provides document preparation services relating to Illinois Transfer on Death Instruments ("TODIs") and related informational materials.

Our services include the preparation of a TODI based upon the information you provide, together with execution and recording instructions. Unless expressly stated otherwise, LegacyGuard Partners does not record documents on your behalf and does not guarantee acceptance of any document by a county recorder.

LegacyGuard Partners, LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions.

The information contained on this website and provided through our services is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal, tax, financial, or estate planning advice.

LegacyGuard Partners, LLC is not responsible for errors or omissions resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information submitted by you.

4. Execution and Recording

LegacyGuard Partners provides instructions explaining how to properly execute and record your TODI.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your TODI is properly signed, witnessed, notarized (if required), and recorded with the appropriate county recorder.

LegacyGuard Partners, LLC does not guarantee that any county recorder will accept any document for recording.

5. Fees and Payment

All prices are clearly displayed prior to purchase.

Payment is due at the time of enrollment.

Unless otherwise stated, all fees are non-refundable once preparation of your customized TODI has begun.

6. Refund Policy

If you cancel your order before document preparation begins, you may be eligible for a refund.

Because each TODI is individually prepared using customer-provided information, refunds generally are not available once preparation has commenced.

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method.

7. Turnaround Time

Estimated preparation times are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed.

Preparation times may vary depending upon order volume, the completeness of the information submitted, and our need to obtain clarification from you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LegacyGuard Partners, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or our services.

In all circumstances, LegacyGuard Partners, LLC's maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the applicable service.

9. No Guarantee of Legal Outcome

A Transfer on Death Instrument may not be appropriate for every homeowner or every estate planning objective.

LegacyGuard Partners, LLC does not guarantee that a TODI will avoid probate in every circumstance or accomplish every estate planning goal.

The effectiveness of a TODI depends upon applicable law, proper execution, recording, and the individual facts of each situation.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, forms, software, images, and other materials, is the exclusive property of LegacyGuard Partners, LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or otherwise used without our prior written consent.
